How the analysis works
Case-insensitive, whole-token matching. Apostrophes and hyphens inside words are preserved; curly apostrophes and common hyphen variants are normalized. No stemming or synonyms. English stopwords are hidden only from single-word results; they remain in phrases and word-count denominators.
Body counts include headings and exclude the document title. Phrases never cross sentence or block boundaries. Repeated phrases have at least two occurrences, including overlaps. Frequency is occurrences per 1,000 analyzed words; single-word share is occurrences divided by total words.
Heading coverage is matched H1–H6 headings divided by all headings. Target coverage is the share of target phrases found in any heading. Prominence reports title presence, heading levels, opening-paragraph presence, and the first occurrence’s position (0% means the first word). These are descriptive signals, not search ranking scores.
HTML analysis removes scripts, styles, navigation, header/footer elements, forms, and explicitly hidden elements; it prefers the first main or article region. CSS visibility and dynamic blocks are not rendered. Plain text has no heading information. Optimized for whitespace-delimited languages; Chinese, Japanese, and Thai word segmentation is not supported.
